Concord Engineering has announced it was recently selected by PSEG as their Owner’s Engineer for a 755 MW power plant. Concord will be onsite throughout both the project’s construction and start-up phases.

The PSEG Keys Energy Center is located in Prince George’s County Maryland. The Center will add needed capacity and energy to the state of Maryland and the surrounding region. The US$825 - US$875 million investment will supply PJM through the Potomac Electric Power Company’s (PEPCO) 500 kV transmission system with enough clean, efficient, and reliable energy to power 500 000 homes.

The combined-cycle plant features two gas-fired turbines and one steam turbine and will include a full complement of emissions controls and run on clean, efficient natural gas.

Kevin Best, Concord’s Project Manager, commented: “We are thrilled to support PSEG Power in their engineering needs as they continue their commitment to clean energy and regional economic growth.”

The plant is expected to be completed in May of 2018.
