Honeywell Process Solutions’ (HPS) next generation Premium Platform for Experion® Virtualization Solutions has won two key awards from VMware for technology innovation and sales success.
The Technical Alliance Award for Emerging Technologies and Trends recognises Honeywell’s role in pioneering the industry’s first hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution, incorporating VMware solutions. The company also received the Partner Innovation Award, OEM Category, at VMware’s 2017 Partner Leadership Summit.
Paul Hodge, Global Marketing Manager for Experion System Infrastructure, HPS, said: “These awards are the latest milestones in our open systems and virtualisation strategy and recognise the commercial success of the platform.”
The next generation Premium Platform for Experion Virtualization Solutions provides a turnkey hyperconverged infrastructure solution that is optimized for the process control industry. The solution can reduce a customer’s total cost of ownership and provides hardware protection for mission critical applications.
Since its launch, the solution has been used by many of Honeywell’s largest customers in the refining, LNG, gas-to-liquids, pharmaceuticals and pulp and paper sectors.
