Axens expands catalyst capacity

Published by , Assistant Editor
Hydrocarbon Engineering,

Axens has completed the expansion of its Calvert City, Kentucky, US, manufacturing plant to produce its ImpulseTM hydroprocessing catalysts in North America.

These catalysts are a complete range of high performance hydrotreating catalysts offering higher flexibility and maximum throughput allowing to process more difficult feedstock with higher end boiling point and longer cycles.

The site will produce the full range of catalysts, covering all domains, from naphtha to VGO hydrotreating and hydrocracker pretreatment. This is one of several sites with the capability to meet global demand for catalysts.

“This catalyst series is truly elite, as demonstrated by the rapid market acceptance and the growing market share it is capturing.” Dave Ulmer – VP Catalysts Business Unit, Axens North America.
