The Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA) has announced the appointment of Luis Sanchez as Manager, California Policy Advocate.
"Luis brings to the WSPA team a unique blend of private and public sector experience, which will be a valuable asset in navigating the regulatory challenges facing our industry," said Catherine Reheis-Boyd, WSPA President.
Mr. Sanchez will assist the company with providing consumers continued access to petroleum and petroleum products through policies intended to be socially, economically and environmentally responsible.
"I'm looking forward to working with WSPA's staff and members to facilitate a productive dialogue between the industry and policy-makers," Mr. Sanchez said. "This type of transparency is key to the energy security and environmental protection California's citizens and economy need to thrive and grow."
Before joining WSPA, Mr. Sanchez served as Chief of Staff in the California State Assembly.
