HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH has announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Freudenberg IT (FIT).
The agreement aims to create a uniform worldwide future-proof IT and communication infrastructure for HIMA.
HIMA CFO, Reinhard Seibold, said: “With this step HIMA is again showing that the company is intensively and pro-actively preparing for future global challenges in the safety systems market. Our new IT will support the further growth of the HIMA Group and make the company fit for the digital era.”
Ralf Sürken, CEO Europe at FIT, added: “We see the implementation of HIMA’s global IT strategy as a special project which we are really keen about. With its IT strategy, HIMA is creating exactly the right conditions to survive in the competitive global environment and the IoT era. We are convinced that this will have a sustainable positive effect on the business development of the company. As HIMA’s IT partner, we will do our best to contribute to that.”
By implementing the global IT strategy, HIMA is ensuring that data and systems will constantly be available in future and will work the same way at every location. FIT is assisting HIMA in the implementation of essential company projects, including the rollout of a global ERP system and the worldwide bundling of IT services on the basis of established international and national standards and certifications. The implementation phase commenced in January 2017.
Heinz Plaga, Head of IT at HIMA, said: “Increased data transparency and flexible work options will make HIMA even more agile as a corporate group. That means we will be able to respond even faster, which is especially decisive with safety-critical applications where in many cases every minute counts […] We are convinced that with their many years of expertise in international rollouts in the SME environment, Freudenberg IT is exactly the right partner.”
