Hydrocarbon Engineering,
Production at the Gdansk refinery was recently halted due to a thirty-minute disruption in the power supply from an external station. According to LOTOS, the incident has had no impact on sales of petroleum products that are manufactured at the refinery.
The safety systems at the refinery worked correctly and, after the power supply was restored, the refinery staff commenced work to stabilise operations and bring units back on stream. The power outage and the subsequent shutdown of most of the refinery processing units did not pose a threat.
Normal operations will be restored within the next two or three days.
