Hydrocarbon Engineering,

Trillium Flow Technologies™ Floway® brand, which provides vertical turbine pumps to the water and wastewater, oil and gas, mining and mineral processing, energy, and industrial markets is celebrating its 90 year anniversary.

Founded in 1934 as Fiese & Firstenberger Manufacturing in Fresno, California, US, the brand originally specialised in manufacturing pumps for the agriculture and farming industries in California. Over time, the company diversified into other industrial markets — even supplying parts for the US Navy during World War II. Floway® was trademarked in 1957. Floway® became an official part of the Trillium Flow Technologies™ family of legacy brands in 2019.

In 2021, the facility in Fresno California where Floway ® pumps are manufactured was upgraded to incorporate state-of-the-art office, manufacturing, and test facilities. The test facility offers a full range of testing services in compliance with Hydraulic Institute and API 610 standards.

Global services for Floway® pumps are also offered from facilities across Africa, Australia, Chile, Mexico, and Peru.

Engineering to enhance pump technology and process efficiencies has expanded the breadth of markets served, and the Floway® brand continues to receive global recognition. Floway® pumps are known for their quality, reliable hydraulic performance, and long service life.

Bryan Voytilla, Managing Director, American Pumps, commented on the long-running success of the brand: “The success of Floway® over the past decades is a testament to our dedicated team, who offer a unique level of service and support for customer operations. They ensure efficiency and give our customers confidence year after year, project after project.”
