Dominion East

Local Ohio Salvation Army offices are now accepting applications for Dominion East Ohio’s EnergyShare program, which helps families who have exhausted all other forms of winter energy assistance. EnergyShare is entering its 14th year in Ohio. Dominion works with local Salvation Army offices to help eligible participants. Every dollar contributed to this fund goes to pay recipients’ Dominion East Ohio heating bills.

Hunton & Williams

Hunton & Williams LLP successfully represented Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI), and a group of commercial banks on a US$4.369 billion senior secured project debt finance, letter of credit and working capital facilities to finance the construction and operation of Train 1 of a multi train natural gas liquefaction and export facilities project to be located on Quintana Island near Freeport, Texas.

The Train 1 project will be constructed, operated and owned by Freeport LNG Expansion, L.P, Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. and Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc., Osaka Gas and Chubu Electric, two of Japan’s largest utilities, will offtake and export the full capacity of the Train 1 LNG production under long term contracts. The Train 1 facilities are part of a planned three train LNG production and export facility being developed by Freeport LNG. The Train 1 debt and equity financing transactions closed and funded on 25 November 2014, concurrently with the Freeport LNG Train 2 debt and equity financing transactions. The transactions reportedly represent the largest fully non-recourse project construction financings to have ever occurred.

Johnson Matthey

Johnson Matthey has won the prestigious title of Britain’s Most Admired Company in Management Today’s annual awards, the largest of their kind. The company has now made the top 10 list six times in the last eight years and this is the first time the company has secured the number one spot.

Andrew Saunders, Deputy Editor, Management Today said, “Johnson Matthey may not be a household name like many previous holder of the Britain’s Most Admired Company award, but by consistently investing in R&D over many years and continuing to pursue new applications for its particular expertise in catalytic chemistry, Johnson Matthey proves that winners do not need to shout in order to be recognised as outstanding by their peers.”

Valero Energy

Under Honorary President Kunahl Saha, Vice President, Product Supply and Distribution at Valero Energy, the 10th edition of the annual benefit tournament held at the Saint Raphael Golf Club in Ile-Bizard was a success. Thanks to the participation of 117 companies, 77 charitable organisations dedicated to children were able to receive support from the Valero Energy Foundation of Canada. Over the past 10 years, close to US$4 million has been raised and distributed to charities in Quebec, Ontario, and the Atlantic Provinces.

Ross R. Bayus, President of Canadian Operations, Valero Energy Inc., said, “taking part in this event is a tangible gesture of support for children’s causes. I would like to thank, in particular, our business partners for their continued support in the past 10 years, along with the new partners who gave us their support this year and made this special edition a success.”

Williams Partners

Williams Partners LP has announced that the expanded Geismar plant is in the final stages of commissioning and now expects ethylene production for sale to begin in December. Capacity at the plant is now 1.95 billion lbs/y of ethylene. Williams Partners’ share of the total capacity of the expanded plant is approximately 1.7 billion lbs/y and Williams owns a controlling interest and is the general partner of Williams Partners.

John Dearborn, Senior Vice President of NGL & Petchem Servies said, “some of these commissioning activities have taken longer than originally planned, but as we have stated throughout this process, safety is our number one priority. And I want to thank our Geismar team for its focus on safety throughout this complex expansion and rebuild effort.”
