The expanded range of MARECHAL ELECTRIC GROUP now offers customers over 20 product groups designed for use in explosive and combustible atmospheres; lighting fittings, explosion-proof ‘e’ and ‘d’ boxes, control boxes, junction boxes, light alarms, cable glands and control stations. Technor®’s products handle both power and data in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Focusing on oil and gas and Petrochemical sectors
Based in Italy, TECHNOR has a global reach with bases in the UAE and Singapore. It has amassed extensive project experience in developing and designing Ex material to suit most applications found in the Ex sectors. The company's main offshore markets are found in the oil and gas industry including, drilling rigs, jack-ups, FPSOs.
On-shore, Technor’s products are used in oil refineries, petrochemical plants, the pharmaceutical and food industries; indeed in any industry in which explosive dust could present a hazard, such as the manufacturers of foodstuffs, grain silos and the textile industry. TECHNOR's primary activities revolve around power, instrumentation and electronics applications.
Ex certification and innovation
MARECHAL ELECTRIC designs and manufactures an extensive range of quality hi-tech Ex rated connectors. Particularly known for its DECONTACTOR™ sockets with their silver-nickel butt contact technology MARECHAL ELECTRIC provides connectors rated to 200 A three phase and 680 A single phase that constantly exceed expectation. Recently added to this range is the compact PNCX (Zones 2 and 22) for either power or data transmission and the self-ejecting DXN types – designed to prevent damage to equipment if tension is applied to the cable (eg lifeboat connections).
The self-ejecting DECONTACTOR™ DXNs can be used in zones 1 and 2 (Gas) and zones 21 and 22 (dust) and are certified under European Directive ATEX 94/9/EC as well as IECEx. Multipin connectors up to 37 pins complete the range.
All Technor® equipment, which is designed for use in explosive atmospheres, complies with national and international standards (ATEX, IECEx and GOST), and all components are certified according to Ex certification requirements.
