Flow-Cal to provide advanced measurement system
PVR Midstream has selected Flow-Cal, the market leader in measurement software development for natural gas and petroleum liquids, to provide an advanced gas measurement software solution for their midstream assets.
PVR Partner’s midstream business, headquartered in Dallas, operates in the Marcellus Shale region in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as the Midcontinent segment in Texas and Oklahoma.
PVR Partners manager (Measurement), Phil Lockwood, commented: “Having made the decision to move away from service companies and bring our measurement in house, we recognised the benefits in consolidating our measurement operations with FLOWCAL. The recently implemented solution will provide increased data accuracy and auditability, furthering our growth and productivity.”
FLOWCAL Enterprise
PVR purchased the FLOWCAL Enterprise Gas application with the field calibration software, TESTit, already integrated. FLOWCAL Enterprise is the Company’s flagship product that optimises measurement operations, while enhancing the integrity of data. The TESTit software provides measurement departments with the latest, automated means of integrating the needs of both office and field personnel.
Having used measurement services providers in the past, PVR was faced with the challenges of building a measurement department from the ground up. To assist with training new analysts and system configuration and set up, the company relied on Flow-Cal’s consulting services for a quicker and smoother implementation.
Flow-Cal president, R. Michael Squyres, commented: “The recently created measurement department at PVR is entirely built around Flow-Cal’s line of measurement products. We have created a system, which is a complete measurement solution from the field to the corporate office. We couldn’t be more pleased that Flow-Cal will be at the heart of this new initiative.”
Flow-Cal’s Enterprise system links larger, more complex operations to one central system, providing a common user interface to consolidate, review, validate, edit, store and report measurement data. FLOWCAL’s advanced data validation and editing features automate field data processing, producing fast, accurate and auditable results that meet or exceed all industry standards. TESTit integration into FLOWCAL Enterprise offers an automated means of satisfying the needs of both office and field personnel.
