AssetPoint, a leading provider of Computerised Maintenance Management Software/Enterprise Asset Management (CMMS/EAM) solutions for the oil and gas industry, has announced that Wyoming Pipeline Company has selected the TabWare CMMS/EAM solution for its oil pipeline facilities located in Newcastle, Wyoming, and Rapid City, South Dakota.

TabWare was initially implemented in 2012 at the refinery operations of Wyoming Pipeline’s sister company, Wyoming Refining Company. Over the past two years, TabWare has been used to manage maintenance operations and track asset history at the refinery, resulting in significant improvements in refinery uptime and maintenance efficiencies, while also assisting with regulatory compliance activities. With its proven success at Wyoming Refining, TabWare was expanded for use at the Wyoming Pipeline Company’s operations. Based on their extensive review, the pipeline company’s management team has determined that Tabware’s oil and gas industry-specific and ease-of-use will allow their maintenance organisation to experience similar benefits for its facilities.

TabWare maximises asset performance and improves maintenance efficiencies, resulting in reduced operating costs and higher profit margins. It is easy to learn and easy to use, so organisations are able to get up and running in days. AssetPoint offers three flexible deployment options; Software as a Service (SaaS), Online (hosted) and Onsite for organisations who want TabWare on their own servers.

Nelson Holwell, Director of Pipeline Operations of Wyoming Pipeline Company, stated “We have been very pleased with the results of TabWare at our Wyoming Refining facility, so we naturally chose to implement it at Wyoming Pipeline Company, as well. We are looking forward to using TabWare to help us efficiently plan and track work orders and manage spare parts inventory for our Newcastle pipeline station, as well as our station in Rapid City.”

Due to deep domain experience, AssetPoint understands the asset maintenance challenges facing the oil and gas industry. Many exploration, drilling and refining customers choose TabWare because of its ability to effectively manage their preventive maintenance programme, track movable assets, capture maintenance history and costs and support their Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) programmes. TabWare’s demonstrated ease-of-use for rig managers and field technicians allows rapid user adoption without disrupting day-to-day operations.

AssetPoint Director of Sales for Oil and Gas, Brad Smith, said, “AssetPoint is pleased to have the opportunity to expand the use of TabWare into Wyoming Pipeline Company’s facilities. The multiple plant setup options with the single database architecture of TabWare allows the pipeline company to configure the solution according to their own specific business rules and processes, even though they will be sharing the same database the refinery currently utilises. We realise that this additional opportunity with the pipeline company would not be possible without the success that Wyoming Refining has experienced with our TabWare solution over the past two years. An expansion with an existing customer into additional sister companies is the highest compliment that we can receive for our TabWare solution.”
