Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, has launched an innovative new mobile app designed to make easy work of metering selection.
Aptly named ‘The Metering Catalogue’, the clever app enables the user to quickly and effectively select the right meter for the job based on a set of criteria including technical requirements and legislation. Available for Android or IOS, the app has been specifically developed for contractors, consultants, panel builders and trade counter staff enabling access to technical information even when on the move.
In addition, the app also hosts a CTs and communication hardware selection guide and Part L and MID legislation information, along with an enquiry channel where users can request quotes and access tech support and certificate requests. There is also a news section keeping users up-to-date with the latest product updates or launches from Schneider Electric.
David Williams, marketing manager at Schneider Electric, comments: “With the choice of metering vaster than ever before, feedback from customers has shown that it can often be difficult to select the correct meter for each unique situation.
“With our new app, it is easy for anybody to find the right meter for any job while out and about on the job. Information about legislation is also available at the users’ finger tips, along with latest product updates and launches, making the app a useful and accessible tool for anyone from contractors on the job to trade counter staff in store.”
The metering selection tool links with the launch of Schneider Electrics new Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) approved PM5000 series of meters.
