AURA Controls develops new high purity gas switchover system

A highly accurate, reliable gas distribution system that automatically switches between two high pressure gas sources to enable uninterrupted supply in challenging applications has been introduced by AURA Controls.

The AURA EXD series automatic differential pressure switchover system is designed to provide a continuous supply of high purity gas in critical applications and demanding process environments. The EXD is an ideal fit for carrier and calibration gas delivery applications used in chromatography processes, sampling systems, and laboratory instrumentation.

The proven switching technology provides fail safe operation utilising a priority valve assembly, allowing the end user to replace depleted gas containers without system interruption and increasing the amount of time between change outs. The proprietary switching technology also allows for maximising cylinder economy and flow rate by drawing more gas from each container and increasing flow without depleting both containers simultaneously.

The EXD’s fully configurable inlets provide flexibility to properly fit application specific requirements for fittings, purges, and isolation valves for inlet pressures up to 3000 psig. Available in delivery ranges up to 350 psig with 4 in., 12 in. and 24 in. panel options, AURA EXD regulators are assembled in a Class 100 cleanroom while the entire system is 100% helium leak checked and cleaned for oxygen service.
