ICIS has launched a new product for the global LNG market, LNG Edge. This latest addition to the ICIS product portfolio provides real time intelligence on LNG cargoes at sea, trade flow volumes, buy/sell opportunities, chartering availability and rates, as well as LNG spot prices and news updates.

The three cornerstones of LNG Edge are ICIS's proprietary data fusion technology, dual AIS data feeds from the world's largest constellation satellite providers (Orbcomm and exactEarth) and the biggest LNG commercial intelligence gathering team, which verifies accuracy of the published data.

The combination of these resources and capabilities revolutionises the online tracking platforms in the market. It delivers unparalleled LNG market transparency via a high speed and user friendly online interface. Functionalities range from instant online mapping and search, to extensive Excel data download options, supporting all members of the LNG trading team: traders, analysts, shipping managers and directors.

LNG trade is entering a period of rapid growth, which will bring more trading routes, more vessels and more competition. Existing trading patterns will be challenged by a wave of new production. Price fluctuations will be key for optimised trading profits.

"The ability to realise commercial opportunities will depend not just on having the best market intelligence, but on being able to quickly make sense of shifts in trading patterns and prices through a single interface," said Louise Boddy, Business Director of ICIS LNG Edge.

These technologies behind LNG Edge allow ICIS to constantly improve and develop the platform to meet the diverse needs of the growing and evolving marketplace.
