New FLEXIM flow meter for measurement in harsh, corrosive environments

Hydrocarbon Engineering,

FLEXIM has released a new ultrasonic liquid and gas clamp on flow meter, FLUXUS F/G 7407.316 SE, for precise bi-directional, high dynamic flow measurement of volume and mass flow rates for virtually all gaseous and liquid media. The flow meter is effective even for wet gas applications (up to a liquid volume fraction of 5%) or liquid media carrying high contents of soil.

The transmitter is FM Class I, Div. 2 certified, and is therefore well suited for use in hazardous areas. Its stainless stell enclosure (316L/1.4404) renders it highly corrosion resistant.

The ultrasonic transducers are mounted on the outside of the pipe wall, enclosed in the rugged stainless steel PERMALOK mounting fixture, hence the system does not suffer from wear and tear, or clogging, and cannot be a risk for leaks. There are also no process interruptions for installation.
