Flow-Cal releases FLOWcloud hosting solution

Hydrocarbon Engineering,

Flow-Cal, Inc. has announced the release of a new FLOWcloudSM hosting solution. With FLOWcloud, users have the power to access Flow-Cal applications on demand through a web interface.

Flow-Cal’s IT staff provide remote managed services (RMS) to support the hosted application. RMS provides system monitoring, administration, reconfiguration, upgrades and updates, as well as log file reviews and path installations. The application is hosted in a secure environment, with backups completed daily.

Michael Squyres, Flow-Cal’s president and CEO, commented: “Cloud computing is the future of software delivery. Although the traditional licensed approach may be best for some companies who have the existing infrastructure and staff, others prefer worry-free maintenance that FLOWcloud offers. The low upfront cost and predictable monthly fees help companies streamline their cas flow while also preserving capital for growth opportunities”.

Flow-Cal first offered application hosting to a client in 2012. Since then it has been growing in popularity, even before FLOWcloud was released to the public. Flow-Cal anticipates that their adoption of the software as a service (SaaS) model will prove valuable in the future of their applications.
