Hydrocarbon Engineering,

Implico will showcase its latest innovations for the downstream industry at StocExpo 2016. Attracting industry experts from all over Europe, StocExpo is the storage terminal sector’s biggest trade show. This year, the event will run from 15 - 17 March in Antwerp. A main highlight at Implico’s stand (E14) will be a preview of the new OpenTAS technology, which is still under development, and another focus will be the company’s iGOS cloud solution.

Implico will be offering a sneak peek at key features from its new software, explaining how efficiency can be improved for oil product storage and distribution. The new release of the terminal automation system for tank farms and refineries, OpenTAS, is currently still in development, with a market launch expected at the end of the year. Compared to previous versions, the new software will offer expanded functionality, improved performance, support for the latest technologies and usability optimisations. Some of the highlights include a highly flexible reporting system and especially user-friendly truck handling in the form of the new TOC (Truck Operations Cockpit) module.

The new terminal automation system release will be available as on-premises software and as a cloud service. Full details of this option will be available at the Implico stand. With iGOS (Implico Global Operation Services), tank farm operators can migrate their entire supply chain to the cloud. Low operating costs, better data quality, leaner structures and greater flexibility for adapting the product to customer needs are just some of the advantages offered by iGOS.

Presentations

Together with Dimitris Pagonis, Head of Sales, OpenTAS, at Implico, Rompetrol Downstream Warehouse Manager, Marcel Dobrita, will be speaking as part of the official conference programme on the first day of the show, with a presentation entitled ‘Optimising end to end delivery processes through automation’. Rompetrol is currently rolling out OpenTAS to its Petromidia facility, Romania’s largest refinery, and six tank farms.
