Tank Storage Germany 2015 has closed its doors to record numbers, reconfirming its position as the leading event for the German bulk liquid storage industry. The event, which took place on 25 and 26 November at the Hamburg Messe, boasted a 15% increase in visitors compared to last year and a sizeable 20% increase in exhibitors.

Nick Powell, StocExpo and Tank Storage Portfolio Event Manager commented, “We knew that the 2015 show was going to be a game changer, but it has exceeded all of our expectations. The success we have experienced this year has cemented Tank Storage Germany as the leading industry event solely focusing on the German market. We have huge plans for this show and 2015 was just the start of something really special.” Powell continued, “We were very proud of the educational content on offer this year. Both the conference programme and array of global suppliers made the educational aspect of the show something to remember.”

With 65% of visitors coming from within Germany, the figures suggest that Tank Storage Germany has found its niche, offering something to the market and region that no one else was previously.

Exhibitors also found the show to be a huge success, with a phenomenal 63% rebooking stands on site for the 2016 show. Jackie Berry, Global Distributor Manager, Silverwing said, “This year’s Tank Storage Germany was, as always, very well organised. With the high profile visitors we had and the interesting conversations, we hope that this will help us expand our business. Tank Storage Germany provides an excellent forum for people to come together from both sides of business and discuss the latest equipment and solutions that are available and how these can be used to the best effect in the tank industry.”

Leandra Zouari-Stoll, Project Assistant at IfI Technology GmbH said, “The show was a big success for us as we were able to showcase our new loading station to so many high quality visitors, which was very well received”

The conference programme played a pivotal role within the show and secured a huge approval rating from the delegates in attendance. The conference featured talks by 18 industry experts including Urs Beckmann, COO, at TanQuid GmbH and Co. KG, Lars Sörensen, Senior Vice President, at HSH Nordbank, Jay Reynolds, Chief Commercial Officer, at Zenith Energy Management and Hans Grossmann, Managing Director, at GOC Engineering.

Conference attendee, Thorsten Muller, Terminal Engineer at Inter Terminals Mannheim GmbH said, “There were some very good and informative presentations, with a great mixture of financial, economic and technical topics covered.”
