99 Cents Only
99 Cents Only Stores has announced the opening of its onsite fully operational CNG filling station in the company’s main distribution centre, which is located in the City of Commerce. This is the final step in the company’s plan in adopting a green approach to private fleet operation. Over the past 18 months, 75% of the company’s fleet was converted from diesel to CNG. This benefits the community it serves by driving cleaner, quieter and more efficient fleets.
CH2M Hill
CH2M Hill has chosen the Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise software suite as its strategic tool for winning contracts in the oil and gas sector. CH2M Hill recently completed a purchase agreement for the suite of solutions, including Intergraph Smart 3D, SmartPlant P&ID and several CADWorx solutions, which will be implemented globally within the company’s energy and chemicals division. CH2M Hill has been a user of Intergraph solutions for more than 15 years.
Chevron
Chevron Corporation has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Chevron Global Energy Inc., has completed the sell down of its 135 million shares in Caltex Australia Limited (CAL) at a share price of AUS$35. Chevron will receive the cash proceeds upon settlement on April 2, and reflect the gain in second quarter 2015 results.
Koch
Koch Heat Transder Company, LP has purchased the Alco, Alco-Twin, and Bos-Hatten brands of heat exchangers from Peerless Mfg. Co. PMFG, Inc. is the parent company of Peerless, and Koch Heat Transfer is a subsidiary of Koch Chemical Technology Group, LLC. The acquisition will allow Koch to expand into additional markets while continuing to leverage a dedicated team of aftermarket specialists to supply service to the current customer base.
LyondellBasell
LyondellBasell has announced plans to expand triethylene glycol (TEG) production capacity at its existing ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol plant in Pasadena, Texas. The additional capacity of 50 million lb/y would more than double the company’s current production capacity. Engineering is already underway on the new unit, which is anticipated to be operational in late 2016. It is expected to be one of the world’s largest on purpose TEG production units, meaning the TEG is produced by design and not as a by product of another manufacturing process.
Quantum
Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc., has received a follow up order for its fully integrated Q-CABlite CNG storage system from Dillon Transport, an industry leader in adopting CNG transportation solutions. Quantum’s Q-CABlite fuel system includes its industry leading, light weight Q-Lite CNG storage tanks.
TravelCenters
TravelCenters of America LLC, operator of the TA and Petro Stopping Centers travel center brands, has announced the opening of LNG fuelling lanes for trucks at its TA locations at I-10, Exit 789 in Baytown, Texas and I-10, Exist 101 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Additionally, TravelCenters has completed retrofitting of its TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube facilities to bring them in line with industry standards and regulations for completing truck service and repair on both CNG and LNG fuelled trucks.
