22 months since the launch of Jetex' Santiago FBO (fixed base operator) and four months since the launch of the Toluca FBO, Jetex has announced a 36% growth throughout the duration of 2015 during this year's AeroExpo in Toluca, Mexico. The FBO in Santiago, Chile was the first Latin American location for Jetex in May of 2014, and was followed by a new location in Toluca, Mexico in November of 2015.

The vast increase of growth was due in part to a 68% growth in jet fuel sales. "As one of the particularities of the operational culture in the region; we have noticed the customers often coordinate and arrange ground support services directly. With fuel services, however, is a different case, not all of them have credit accounts with fuel suppliers; so the customers value the constant follow up our Fuel Operations Department provides, and the reduction in operational costs our services represent," said Diego Giamberini, Regional Manager for Latin America.

With the inception of Jetex' Santiago (SCEL) FBO and Toluca (MMTO) FBO, Jetex has been able to provide the region with FBOs including executive lounges, flight support services, ground handling, and jet fuel sales. General Aviation growth in the area was estimated at 18% for 2015, while Jetex grew at two times the average rate. Jetex growth was assisted by the nearby and popular aviation conventions, FIDAE located at SCEL, and AeroExpo located at MMTO. These conventions are also the locations for Jetex' two Latin American FBOs, in addition to the presence at LABACE, which facilitated communication and business in the area.

The future looks bright for 2016, the Rio Olympic Games will have a dramatic effect on the volume of flights and fuel sales in the region. Jetex has already set in place plans for the summer games, with high availability handling agents and fuel supplies, as well as FBOs. "Jetex's Latin American division is well prepared for the change in volume, and will be prepared to offer competitive prices," said Rafaella Carolina, Corporate Account Manager for Brazil. Jetex is constantly searching to expand its global network, and strongly considering Latin America as a main candidate.
