Alfa Laval, a heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling company, has won an order in Italy to supply various pieces of equipment to a new petrochemical plant. The order, booked in the Energy & Process segment, has a value of approximately SEK55 million and delivery is scheduled for 2016.

The order includes various gas boilers, which will be installed in a process line in an ammonia production plant in Slovakia.

Commenting on the order, Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group, said: “Our equipment will re-use heat in the ammonia production process and thereby contribute to a very energy-efficient system, with low environmental impact. The order confirms our products’ ability to meet the high demands of the petrochemical industry.”

Alfa Laval’s equipment, systems and services are dedicated to assisting customers in optimising the performance of their processes. The solutions help them to heat, cool, separate and transport products in industries that produce food and beverages, chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, starch, sugar and ethanol.
