Biorem Inc. has announced several new orders, totalling US$7 million, for air emission abatement projects in China and North America.
Derek S. Webb, President and Chief Executive Officer, said: "Our focus for business development in 2017 has been primarily centred on China and we are beginning to see the results from all of that effort […] Of particular note are several high profile projects in the municipal wastewater and petrochemical refining industries in China. Recent tightening of the air quality regulations in Tier 1 cities has resulted in a massive demand for effective long-term solutions.
"We are cooperating closely with our strategic partners and local regulators to capitalise upon this great opportunity and plan to continue to invest additional resources to ensure we maximise our market share in this fast growing economy. Growth in China helps to supplement our core market areas in North America where we continue to grow year over year. With these latest orders, the company's order backlog stands firm at approximately US$17 million, providing great revenue visibility for the next three to four quarters."
