1898 & Co., part of Burns & McDonnell, has formed an Oil, Gas & Chemical Consulting (OGCC) team.
1898 & Co. launched in October 2019 as a future-focused consulting and technology solutions arm of Burns & McDonnell to add new services, depth and capabilities to drive clients’ modernisation efforts.
The newly formed OGCC team will serve the midstream and downstream markets and financial institutions globally. Services provided include configuration and performance studies, environmental compliance management, licensor and technology evaluations, asset valuations, lenders technical advisory and mergers, acquisitions and divestiture due diligence for oil, gas and chemical clients.
Rick Mena has joined 1898 & Co. as a managing director to lead the OGCC team and focus on accelerating client project development requirements to increase profitability through techno-economic services. He said: “The ever-increasing cost of maintaining and enhancing asset profitability is a growing concern across the hydrocarbon value chain […] The trends place significant focus on defining business cases accurately the first time. We apply our deep techno-economic depth and market insights to simplify the complex.”
Other additions to the team include Martin Brandt (who has joined as a Director, leading opportunity definition for the oil and gas industry), (Director specialising in business case assessments), and Paul Ruwe (Director to lead transaction advisory services).
