Aubin secures chemical supply contract

Aubin Group has been selected as the single (preferred) supplier of speciality chemicals for National Petroleum Services’s (NPS) global operations.

“We are delighted to have secured the opportunity to become sole supplier of speciality chemicals to NPS. The award of this contract is a testament to Aubin’s commitment to delivering reliable high quality chemical solutions and customer service to our clients,” said Ray Stirton, Director MENA at Aubin.

The value of the contract is likely to exceed US$9 million a year, as NPS’s business, operations and requirement for chemicals is increasing in the Middle East, North Africa and Far East Asia. NPS delivers drilling, customised well services and support to customers throughout these regions.

Our relationship with Aubin goes back for many years and they have always provided us with reliable services. NPS and Aubin technical teams are constantly on the lookout for and developing new products that will meet our clients’ needs in the region,” said Adnan Ghabris, NPS Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.

Aubin’s relationship with NPS was further strengthened at the end of 2014 through the signing of a technical service agreement to provide technical advice and support, as well as to develop new chemical solutions for specific NPS operations.

Since the beginning of 2015 Aubin has embarked on an ambitious growth strategy and is seeking to continue improving customer service and product availability globally, with growth plans underway in the Middle East, USA and the UK. Over the last 12 months in the Middle East alone, Aubin has opened a Dubai office, formed a partnership with a distributor in Saudi Arabia, increased manufacturing and stocking capabilities in Abu Dhabi and opened a subsidiary company in Houston to support new US based customers with services in pipelines, cementing and buoyancy products as part of the continuing growth strategy.
