Chevron

Chevron Corporation has named Jeanette L. Ourada as Corporate Vice President and Comptroller, effective April 1 2015. Ourada succeeds Matthew J. Foehr, who will retire from the company at the end of March after 33 years of service. In her new role Ourada will lead corporate wide accounting, financial reporting and analysis, and internal controls. Additionally, she will oversee Finance Shared Services, the organisation she has led since July 2013.

Flexitallic

Flexitallic is driving for growth in its German operation. The company, which operates out of Hilden, Dusseldorf, is aiming to expand the reach of its portfolio of market leading industrial gaskets and has plans to recruit significant additional engineering resource. The expansion is driven by investment, which also sees the German arm of the business rebrand from Induseal to Flexitallic GmbH to bring it into line with the rest of the group across the world.

Intertek

Intertek has invested £1.2 million expanding its centre of excellence for corrosion testing services to meet growing demand for asset life extension solutions in the oil and gas industry. The expansion, which has been driven by major new contract awards worth approximately £1 million, takes the total investment in the Manchester, UK, site to over £5 million since it first opened in 2008.

Originally consisting of two units with a total size of 10 0000 ft2, the facility has been extended twice to meet rapidly growing demand for corrosion testing services, primarily from the oil and gas industry. Now covering 27 000 ft2, it is one of the world’s largest independent laboratories dedicated to corrosion testing.

Rotork

Rotork has announced that Pamela Bingham is the new Managing Director of the company’s gears division. This division of Rotork manufacturers complete gearbox assemblies and valve adaption kits for use with actuators and as direct valve operators. It has facilities in the Netherlands, UK, Italy, China, USA and India. Bingham said, “I am delighted to be joining Rotork Gears and look forward to applying the experience and knowledge I have gained in my Rotork Business Development role to ensure continued growth for our gears division.”

Technip

Technip was awarded a contract by Qingdao Soda Ash Industrial New Material & Technology Company to provide the technology, engineering, selected critical equipment and technical services for a 500 000 tpy ethylbenzene styrene monomer (EBSM) plant to be located in Dongjiakou Port Industrial Zone Park, Qingdao City, Shangdong Province, People’s Republic of China. The plant’s products will be used for manufacturing a broad range of plastics. Technip’s operating centre in Boston, Massachusetts, USA will execute the project. The technology for the plant will be provided through an agreement with Badger Licensing LLC.
