Dow celebrates World Water Week
World Water Week starts on Sunday, 31 August, and will address the theme of ‘Water and Energy’. In honour of this occasion, Dow Water & Process Solutions have released a new infographic that explains how water treatment technologies – ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and ion exchange – help enhance refinery operations and promote wastewater for operational reuse, helping to lessen the strain on freshwater assets.
Water is as important a commodity to the refining process, as oil itself, according to Dow. Large volumes of reliable water are crucial to support refining operations from start to finish. However, water is also a precious resource that must be optimized to reduce global water scarcity.
