Maintenance update

BP Plc is going to shut the Lingen oil refinery for 6 weeks in August 2011 for maintenance. The whole facility will be taken offline. It has also been rumored that the company’s Gelsenkirchen refinery will also go through maintenance next year.


Reliance Industries is going to take two units at the Jamnagar refinery offline for maintenance. The CDU and coker units will be offline for one month from the last week of October.


The Alliance refinery, Louisiana is still undergoing maintenance. Work at the 247 000 bpd ConocoPhillips facility is scheduled to complete work on the FCC unit in November and commence work on the alkylation unit.


A key gasoline producing unit at the Port Arthur oil refinery, Texas is still undergoing maintenance. The unit was taken offline for unplanned maintenance at the end of August and will remain offline until November, as Motiva Enterprise, the facility owners, is now carrying out routine maintenance whilst the unit is down.
