Atlas expands online learning solutions for oil and gas industry

Hydrocarbon Engineering,

Atlas has entered into a partnership with CiNet-RedVector, an online technical solutions provider, in order to expand its range of services to the oil and gas industry.

Atlas can now sell CiNet’s technical courses globally along side its own portfolio of e-learning content, expanding the scope of their offering to become one of the most comprehensive online learning solutions in the market.

This alliance marks a key stage in Atlas’s strategic plan to deliver a fully rounded curriculum-based portfolio to help in addressing the shortage of technical staff in the oil and gas industry. The new online learning solutions have been designed to give technical workers the opportunity to up-skill and gain the knowledge to progress their careers or simply enhance their skillset.

Atlas has focused on four key technical disciplines to counteract this staff shortage: Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Production which are offered at three skill levels: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.

Head of Learning R&D and Strategy at Atlas, Ken Jones commented: “As part of the Atlas CAMS (Competency Assurance Management System) initiative, we identified that the CiNet-RedVector content portfolio addressed the knowledge gap in the competencies of the core technical disciplines. It soon became clear that their (CiNet) online learning content was ideally suited to compliment both CAMS and the existing Atlas solutions.

“This large portfolio allows us to broaden our product offering to the operational personnel right across the oil and gas industry, which will help to reduce risk and increase performance.”

Senior Vice president and General Manager of CiNet-RedVector, Dominic M. Coletto, added: “We felt the relationship with Atlas Knowledge would be very favourable because it reinforces our core values of Entrepreneurship, Learning, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence and the ‘wow’ factor. This partnership will add value to core training and education competencies that impact the productivity of our customers’ workforces in the oil and gas industry.”
