CenterPoint Energy has named William (Trey) Kuchar III Vice President of CenterPoint Energy's Gas Operations in Louisiana and Mississippi. In his new role, Kuchar will oversee all aspects of the company's natural gas distribution operations in the two states.

"I'm looking forward to joining this team of employees who are proud to live, work and volunteer in the communities that we serve every day, and have a proven track record of providing safe and reliable natural gas service," said Trey Kuchar, Vice President of Gas Operations for CenterPoint Energy.

Kuchar began his career with the company in 2002 and has held various positions in Gas Operations with increasing levels of responsibility including new construction and system improvements and compliance and standardisation, as well as serving as area manager in Houston. He most recently served as district director of Gas Operations for the company's natural gas distribution system in Minnesota's north district.

Kuchar holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a longtime supporter of the United Way, an active participant in Habitat for Humanity and has served on the American Red Cross Heroes Breakfast nomination committee.

Kuchar replaced Brad Tutunjian, who has moved to oversee CenterPoint Energy's Natural Gas Operations in Minnesota.
