API named best place to work
The Washington Post has named the API as one of the best places to work in the greater D.C. region, based on an independent survey of organisations employing nearly 75 000 area workers. Published this Sunday, the Washington Post Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. Reviews are collected in an employee survey conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP. Among other factors, API was recognised for its competitive benefits, cooperative workplace, and for having a management structure that encourages new ideas and a flexible balance of work and personal life. API also offers opportunities to contribute to charitable events and engage in other popular activities, like the team wellness program.

Annemarie McDonald, API director of human resources said, ‘API has been one of Washington’s premier trade associations for generations, and we’re proud to carry on that tradition. We have a great team of talented people who care about their mission and their colleagues, and that makes for a great place to go to work each day.’
McDonald continued, ‘API’s leadership understands the value of investing in the long term success of each team member, and it’s an honour to see those efforts recognised. Our employees know how much we value their service, whether they are composing new standards for safe energy development, researching strategies to promote efficiency, or advocating for America’s energy revolution.’
