hte, the high throughput experimentation company, has announced that it will provide Saudi Aramco with the latest generation of laboratory equipment for highly efficient research & development in 2016.

Saudi Aramco is building a high throughput lab in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The company is dedicated to catalysis research as part of its continued in-vestment in innovation.

“This collaboration brings a great opportunity for hte to further expand our reach in the Middle East,” commented Wolfram Stichert, hte’s CEO. “With our innovative, all-in-one approach we are able to offer synthesis solutions and testing capabilities as a part of our workflows.”

By creating a new, high throughput experimentation facility, Saudi Aramco is expanding its research focus on chemicals, in line with their 2020 Accelerated Trans-formation Process. As a continuing collaborator of Saudi Aramco in the field of HTE (high throughput experimentation), hte delivers an all-in-one solution for heterogeneous catalysis, comprising several 16-fold HTE catalyst testing systems with volumes of 1 – 15ml and catalyst synthesis and screening tools provided by Chemspeed Technologies AG, a company specialising in the automation of synthesis protocols. The tailor-made workflow is fully integrated in the lab processes of Saudi Aramco.

“We were looking for a ‘one-stop-shop’ solution with robust and flexible testing rigs. Due to its reputation and leadership in the HT field, we selected hte,” said Ammar Al-Nahwi, Manager of the R&D Center at Saudi Aramco. “hte has the experience in setting up an HT lab organisation and also a broad knowledge of the Middle Eastern market. With this innovative ‘lab of the future’ in Dhahran, we will boost our R&D and take our catalytic technologies more rapidly to market.”
