ACHEMA 2012 opens submission window for papers

Hydrocarbon Engineering,

Organisers have announced that contributions to the congress program of ACHEMA 2012 are now being welcomed, with topics reflecting the exhibition portfolio.

In view of the current challenges, three areas are of notable interest in 2012: the area of biotechnology covers the complete value chain of the bioeconomy from bio based products via process technologies and equipment for the processing of renewable resources to food technology.

A special focus in reaction technology is on sustainable process technology including topics such as energy efficiency, water treatment, recycling and urban mining.

Thirdly, materials technology is emphasised. This includes innovative energy carriers and storage, as well as modern materials for plant engineering, nanotechnology and advanced fluids. With over 900 lectures, the congress program covers the whole range of topics that are on display in the exhibition.

The 30th ACHEMA takes place from June 18 - 22, 2012, in Frankfurt. 4000 exhibitors and 175 000 visitors are expected.
