American Innovations has announced the successful acquisition of the external corrosion products division of MSES Consultants, Inc.

With this acquisition, American Innovations (AI) will expand its catalogue of survey accessories and will integrate MSES' resistivity meter into its MicroMax product line.

Specific additions to the AI survey accessory catalogue include test canes and survey probes, along with trays and backpacks specifically designed for the AI AllegroTM Field Data PC. Not included in the acquisition are MSES' internal corrosion products such as test kits, coupons and a range of analytical services.

"AI has worked very closely with MSES and Jason Rine over the years and we've been continually impressed by his creativity and capability," said Ed Kruft, President of American Innovations. "Jason is an extraordinary problem solver and we look forward to taking over these products, integrating these valued accessories with our instruments, and continuing his innovative product development going forward."

"The excellent team at American Innovations is sure to continually improve the external corrosion products formerly offered by MSES," said Jason Rine, Director of MSES Corrosion Products. "I look forward to their evolution of the products; it will provide pipeline operators with more complete solutions for corrosion prevention while affording MSES the opportunity to focus exclusively on our suite of services and internal corrosion solutions."
