CLARCOR eyes expansion in the Middle East

CLARCOR Industrial Air are strengthening their global presence and are proud to announce the launch of their new factory in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Tamimi Energy. The launch is expected to replicate CLARCOR’s successful operations in North America, scheduled for opening in November 2017.

The expansion is in line with Saudi’s Vision 2030 plan, calling for the diversification of revenues by capitalising on in-country production and the employment of Saudi nationals. The facility will bring together a multitude of CLARCOR/Tamimi best–of-breed solutions under one roof and facilitate the production of inlet filters for gas turbines in both Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC.

“We are very excited to be in the Middle East with our trusted partners Tamimi. The new facility will act as a catalyst for attracting new talent and domestic investment. It’s a commitment to the region’s customers; being local allows us to be faster and more responsive to customer needs”, said Gerald Woodward, Global Sales Director of the Gas Turbine Filtration Division at CLARCOR/Parker.

Expansion into the Middle East cements CLARCOR’s focus of being a more involved in-region partner to current and future customers; offering greater manufacturing support, technical support and sales support. This follows on from Parker Hannifin’s long established standards of fine-tuning the overall manufacturing operation.

“Adding CLARCOR/Parker to our portfolio is a strategic move and one that gives us an opportunity to work with a partner engaged in providing gas turbine filtration solutions to the industry for over 50 years,” said Mr. Sulaiman Al Rumaih, CEO, Tamimi Energy. “We are happy that they have chosen us to be a part of their growth and development plans.”
