American Gas and Oil

American Gas and Oil (AGO), with the support of CITGO Petroleum Corporation has raised more than US$ 40 000 for the local Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) chapter during its annual MDA Shamrock campaign. From mid February to the end of March, customers in the area visited local AGO stores and purchased US$ 1 and US$ 5 paper shamrocks, which were displayed around the store as a sign of their commitment to supporting the charity.

Applied LNG

Applied LNG has announced the completion of its second LNG production train in Topock, Arizona. Located adjacent to Applied’s first production train, the new liquefier has a nameplate production capacity of 86 000 gal./d which brings the company’s LNG production capacity to over 170 000 gal./d.

Earlier this year, Applied announced the purchase of 31 acres of land in Midlothain, Texas, to build up to five liquefiers and store up to 1.5 million gal. of LNG. Each liquefier will produce an estimated 86 000 gal./d of LNG. With the second liquefier in Topock online, and the first Texas liquefier scheduled to start production in early 2015, Applied LNG is well positioned to meet the growing demand for LNG from its existing and new customers in a broad range of industries.

Global Partners

Global Partners LP has entered into an agreement with Meadowlark Midstream Company, LLC whereby Meadowlark will build, own and operate a new crude oil transportation system. When completed, the system will include a truck unloading station with 55 00 bbls of tankage on Meadowlark’s Divide Gathering System, as well as a 47 mile pipeline serving Global’s crude oil storage facility at Basin Transload’s Columbus rail loading terminal in Burke County, North Dakota. Crude oil delivered to this rail terminal has single line haul rail access to Global’s Albany, New York terminal and can also access other rail serviced terminals throughout the US. The project is expected to be operational by the second quarter of next year.

IDC Energy Insights

IDC Energy Insights has announced it has hired Chris Niven as Research Director, Oil and Gas. With more than 20 years of experience in IT in the context of oil and gas, Niven will be responsible for developing and delivering on the research agenda for the oil and gas practice with a particular emphasis on deploying IT to advance the business objectives of the upstream oil and gas.

KBR

KBR Inc. has announced that Stuart Bradie has assumed the role of President and CEO for the company. Bradie has more than 25 years of industry experience and joins KBR from WorleyParsons, where he held the position of Group Managing Director of Operations and Delivery. In that role, Bradie led the Group’s global operations, project delivery and assurance. He was previously Managing Director responsible for operations in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Bradie has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aberdeen University and a Master of Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University.

Nexans

Nexans has established a new Scientific Committee to boost innovation and further differentiate its cable products and technologies. The Scientific Committee is responsible for holding discussions on Nexans’ research customers and to integrate these innovations rapidly into new and existing products. The committee consists of eight members and is chaired by Jean Maxime Saugrain, Nexans’ Corporate Vice President of Technical. Its Secretary General is Gerard Bacquet, Nexans’ Global Scientific Director.
