CB&I

CB&I has signed a contract for nearly US$ 90 million with Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co. (ADMA-OPCO) to conduct a major overhaul of five crude oil storage tanks on Das Island, the site of ADMA-OPCO’s main industrial base in the UAE.

Luke Scorsone, President, CB&I’s Fabrication Services operating group said, ‘CB&I’s comprehensive capabilities and experience in designing and constructing storage tanks has made us an industry leader for more than 100 years. It also gives us the know how to successfully and safely execute tank overhaul projects such as this one for ADMA-OPCO.’

Clean Energy

Clean Energy Fuels Corp., has announced a multi year fuelling agreement to further support Dillion Transport’s ongoing leadership in heavy duty natural gas truck fuelling. Clean Energy is scheduled to supply Dillon’s growing fleet with approximately 2.5 million additional DGEs of compressed natural gas (CNG) annually and expects to open three additional public truck friendly natural gas stations in Houston, Texas, Midland, Texas and West Atlanta, Georgia, over the remainder of the year to accommodate the increased fuel sales.

James Harger, chief marketing officer, Clean Energy said, ‘Clean Energy is privileged to expand our five year relationship with Dillion to help enable this fleet’s transition to natural gas. Dillion’s early leadership in heavy duty natural gas truck fuelling helped pave the way for numerous other heavy duty fleets to make the switch to natural gas fuel in Texas and beyond. These new trucks will consume an estimated 2.5 million gals./y of fuel.’

KBR

KBR Inc. has announced the election of Mark E. Baldwin as a member of the KBR Board of Directors, effective October 3 2014. Baldwin retired from Dresser-Rand Group Inc., on 20 April 2013, after serving as its CFO and Executive VP since his appointment in 2007. Baldwin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Duke University and a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University.

Ryder

Ryder System Inc., has been recognised as a finalist in the 2014 Southwest Oil & Gas Awards, an industry initiative to recognise organisations that are leaders in their fields. The awards champions companies that display best practices in key areas of operational excellence, environmental stewardship, corporate social responsibility, and excellence in health and safety.

Sandvik

Sandvik AB has been reconfirmed as a member of the prestigious FTSE4Good Index Series, an index that measures Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance practices in international companies. The purpose of the FTSE4Good index, which was first launched in 2001, is to provide investors with a tool to identify companies that meet globally recognised corporate sustainability standards.
