Chiyoda and Saipem sign MoU for partnership

Chiyoda Corporation, Japan’s leading engineering and construction company has agreed to a co-operation agreement with Saipem S.p.A to develop onshore LNG and upstream projects.

According to the agreement the two companies will cooperate on an exclusive basis as an integrated joint venture to develop onshore LNG and gas treatment plants worldwide except certain specific regions and projects agreed as well as upstream projects on a case-by case basis.

Both companies hope to integrate their skills developed in oil and gas contracting to successfully tackle the developing Upstream and LNG sector.
