UKPIA Associate scheme
As of January this year, the UK Petroleum Industry Association (UKPIA) will be introducing three Associate participation schemes to further develop industry cooperation, dialogue and excellence in the areas of Process Safety and Transportation (road and rail).
The above is following the success of UKPIA’s ‘Assuring Safety’ initiative, which was established to enhance performance in process safety. UKPIA has developed three targeted participation schemes, Process Safety Associate, Transport Associate and Full Associate, to address safety and performance in the downstream oil and gas sectors.
Comments on the scheme
‘The Associate schemes are all about widening the reach of our important work in process safety and transportation and to ensure that developments and learnings are shared throughout the oil, gas and other high potential hazard industries,’ said Peter Davidson, UKPIA’s Director Safety, Commercial & Projects.
Chris Hunt, UKPIA’s Director General continued, ‘safety is our number one priority and the Associate schemes represent an important vehicle to broaden and foster cross industry cooperation, learning and development.’
More details on this scheme can be found here.
