The tax abatement was approved by a four to one vote of the Cameron County Commissioners Court, which will bring Cameron County financial flexibility and funding to bring added services and infrastructure to the area.
“We appreciate the Cameron County Commissioners Court’s approval, which recognises Texas LNG’s environmentally sensitive design, along with the significant economic benefits and jobs this facility will create for the local community,” said Vlad Bluzer, Co-President of Texas LNG. “We are committed to being a positive, productive, and transparent partner for Cameron County, and this vote is a meaningful show of support from the county leaders.”
Cameron County’s approval of this tax abatement is the latest in a series of important developments for Texas LNG, which will start construction later this year.
