Total UK appoints new pipeline managers
Total UK Ltd has appointed a leading firm of chartered surveyors to manage its 230 km petroleum pipeline which runs from Immingham, Lincolnshire to the Buncefield Fuel Depot in Hemel Hempstead and from Colnbrook to Heathrow Airport.
Fisher German’s utilities and infrastructure department based in Ashby de la Zouch has taken over full Land Management and Emergency response management of the underground pipeline for the next three years. The contract includes full maintenance and management of the line, including the overhead helicopter patrols as well as providing the first point of contact for landowners, emergency services, councils and other utility providers.
Tam Bream, Partner for Fisher German and Chairman of the Pipeline Industries Guild, comments, “We are very pleased to be managing Total UK’s petroleum pipeline. We have a great deal of experience with this pipeline as Fisher German were heavily involved in the planning and construction process.”
