Promoting natural gas development

Hydrocarbon Engineering,

Executive Director of the NYSPC, Karen Moreau, has announced the launch of a new campaign to promote safe natural gas development and thousands of reliable, well paying jobs in New York. This campaign reflects NYSPC’s confidence that industry is ready to invest in the state and give New Yorkers the boost they desperately need if Governor Cuomo lifts the moratorium on hydraulic fracturing that is preventing job creation in the state.

Comments

‘The natural gas industry already supports over 44 000 jobs in the State of New York,’ said Moreau. ‘By allowing safe natural gas development, Governor Cuomo can help to bring an additional 25 000 jobs, the State’s own estimate, to the Southern Tier, where New Yorkers have been struggling economically for years.

‘It’s time New Yorkers have the chance to reap the benefits of safe natural gas development,’ said Moreau. ‘We are confident Governor Cuomo will support this opportunity to bring good paying jobs to the Empire state.’

The campaign

The NYSPC, a division of the American Petroleum Institute (API), developed television and radio ads to bring greater focus on the advantages of safe natural gas development, and showcase the support for natural gas development by New Yorkers across the state.
