Biofuel Energy Corp.

Biofuel Energy Corp. has received a written decision from The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC indicating that the Nasdaq Listings Qualifications Panel has determined to grant the Company’s request for continued listing on The Nasdaq Capital Market, dependant on two things. Firstly, on or before 4th November the company closes the previously announced acquisition of the equity interests of JBGL Builder Finance LLC and certain subsidiaries of JBGL Capital, LP, from certain affiliates of Greenlight Capital, Inc. and James R. Brickman. And secondly, the resulting combined company satisfies all requirements for initial listing on The Nasdaq Capital market upon consummation of the transaction.

The company is now reportedly diligently working to complete the acquisition and the related transactions, including the preparation of a Nasdaq listing application for the combined company, within the time period afforded by the panel, however, there can be no assurance that the company will be able to do so.

Cheniere

Cheniere Energy, Inc. has announced that its subsidiary, Corpus Christi Liquefaction, LLC, has entered into an LNG sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with PT Pertamina under which Pertamina has agred to purchase approximately 0.76 million tpy of LNG upon he commencement of operations of Train 2 of the LNG export facility being developed near Corpus Christi, Texas. The SPA is an addition to the previously announced SPA under which Pertamina will purchase approximately 0.76 million tpy of LNG, brining the total quantity sold to Pertamina to approximately 1.52 million tpy. The Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project is being designed and permitted for up to three trains, with aggregate design production capacity of 13. 5 million tpy of LNG.

hte

hte, the high throughput experimentation company, has announced the conclusion of a contract with Synfuels China Technology specifying the construction and delivery of a high throughput reactor system to be installed at Synfuel’s facilities in Beijing, China. hte is supplying an X3000 high throughput catalyst testing system that will support Synfuels’ research activities in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.

Synfuels will enjoy the benefits of a mature technology that is the result of several years project work in a variety of syngas conversion applications. hte’s X3000 parallel reactor system is an essential tool for high throughput testing of Fischer-Tropsch catalysts under industrially relevant conditions. Important features include precise and reliable process control in this strongly exothermic reaction, and a sophisticated analytical suite that is able to distinguish and quantify up to 200 different product components in a short time.

Petronas

Petronas has become the first organisation in Malaysia to receive accreditation for its company training scheme by global professional body, The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). Petronas currently employs more than 30 000 employees group wide, including 3500 chemical engineers. It plans to grow rapidly over the next few years, including building the US$ 16 billion refinery and petrochemical integrated development (RAPID) project. Petronas also expects it will need additional chemical engineers to support its expansion and in recent years has been working closely IChemE to develop its own world class and globally recognised training scheme.

In June of this year, Petronas achieved a major milestone in its skills development strategy with formal accreditation by IChemE for its internal company training scheme called Accelerated Capability Development (ACD) for Chemical Engineering.

Univar

Univar Inc. held a grand opening ceremony on 30 June for a new, and permanent facility in Dickinson, North Dakota to support its oil and gas business in the Williston Basin. The ribbon cutting ceremony at the new facility featured remarks by US Senator Heidi Heitkamp, Univar’s President of Oil & Gas and Mining, Chris Oversby and Dickinson City Commissioner Carson Steiner.

The new facility is spread over 5 acres and features two warehouses, one 15 000 ft2 facility for general storage and a second 3000 ft2 warehouse rates for indoor flammable storage. The facility also includes a truck base and a tank farm. This is Univar’s second facility in the Williston Basin, The first was opened in 2011.
