EU maintenance update

Belgium

Fina Antwerp Olefins NV will halt operations at a naphtha cracker in March for planned maintenance. The plant in Antwerp is a joint petrochemical venture of Total SA and ExxonMobil.

Greece

Hellenic Petroleum SA is planning to restart its 72 000 bpd refinery in Thessaloniki in March. The complex has been closed since January for maintenance and processing upgrades.

The Athens based company is also in the process of upgrading its 100 000 bpd refinery in Elefsina.   

Italy

Saras SpA will close a gasification unit at Sarroch, Sardinia for around 35 days in the second quarter. The closure is part of major maintenance, which occurs every 10 years.

Sweden

Nynas AB has scheduled to shut its 22 000 bpd Nynäshamn refinery in Sweden for five weeks in the autumn. The exact timing and duration has not been specified.
