NEXTCHEM and Siemens Energy strengthen collaboration

The MoU fosters collaboration between the two companies, united by the ambition to develop solutions capable of reshaping industrial processes and promoting a more efficient and circular use of resources. The MoU establishes a framework to combine complementary expertise with the aim of identifying synergies and launching joint initiatives in the fields of energy and material circularity.

The cooperation covers a wide technological spectrum, ranging from low-carbon fuels such as hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, and their derivatives, to the development of sustainable and circular materials for industrial applications.

Another central focus of the collaboration is the integration of energy systems based on methanol-powered fuel cells, a promising solution for marine propulsion as well as onboard auxiliary systems. The partnership will also extend to advanced digital platforms, including digital twins, artificial intelligence, and remote-operation technologies, together with initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of highly energy-intensive sectors such as data centres and hard-to-abate industries.
