Key drivers for the selection of SAF production pathways

ON DEMAND - Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is the most promising pathway to support the decarbonisation of the aviation sector. From various feedstocks, several technologies are available to produce SAF, such as alcohol to jet, Fischer Tropsch (biomass to liquid, power to liquid), and hydrotreated esters and fatty acids (HEFA), etc.

Selecting the most suitable technology for a defined project is not the easiest step, as many parameters have to be considered. Aside from economics, it is also important to look at feedstock accessibility, specific regulations, carbon footprint, etc.

This webinar with Axens provides an overview of the main pathways to SAF production, as well as the main drivers when selecting technology. It also includes an example case study.
