Annually since 2004, RobecoSAM's "The Sustainability Yearbook" has listed the world's most sustainable companies in each industry as determined by their score in RobecoSAM's annual corporate sustainability assessment (CSA).
RobecoSAM is an investment specialist focused on sustainability investing, which also publishes the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI).
Over 2100 of the world's largest companies in 59 industries are invited to participate in the CSA each year. This is the seventh time Sandvik has been included in ‘The Sustainability Yearbook’, one of only nine Swedish companies to make the list.
Eligibility for inclusion in the publication is determined by two parameters. Firstly by the sustainability scores derived from the CSA, and secondly, by a qualitative screen based on RobecoSAM's media and stakeholder analysis, which evaluates a company's response to critical sustainability issues that may arise during the measured year.
Christina Båge-Friborg, Head of Sustainable Business said, "The inclusion in RobecoSAM's ‘The Sustainability Yearbook’ for the seventh year in a row illustrates our continued success in integrating sustainability both in our offerings in close cooperation with our customers as well as in our operations throughout our value chain."
