Renewable fuels produced from algae may receive a boost from the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s ethanol from algae refinery process.

By 2030, when it’s fully implemented, the Clean Power Plan is designed to reduce carbon pollution from the power sector to 32% below 2005 levels.

The National League of Cities’ representatives from US local government, have renewed support for the Administration’s Clean Power Plan.

According to the 2016 BP Energy Outlook, global demand for energy is expected to increase by 34% between 2014 and 2035.
