EIA: California’s working natural gas inventories vary by region

Working natural gas inventories of storage fields operated by the two largest natural gas distributors in California total 100.6 billion ft3. Although this level is 4% higher than levels one year ago, storage operation and capacity utilisation varies significantly by region.

 

China’s LNG imports to decline

Fire causes shutdown of Freeport LNG export terminal

A fire at Freeport LNG‘s natural gas liquefaction plant in South Texas, US, has led to the full shutdown of the facility. The shutdown will reduce total US LNG export capacity by approximately 2 billion ft3/d.

Freeport LNG provides update on incident at its liquefaction site

On 8 June 2022, an incident occurred at the Freeport LNG liquefaction plant on Quintana Island, Texas, US, that resulted in the release of LNG, leading to the formation and ignition of a natural gas vapour cloud, and subsequent fire.
