CVR Energy is revamping its refinery in Oklahoma, US, to produce approximately 100 million gallons of renewable diesel per year.

The company has received certification through the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification PLUS (ISCC PLUS) process for its recycling programme which converts waste plastics into circular polyethylene, and signed a long-term supply agreement with Nexus Fuels LLC as its first supplier of pyrolysis oil.

Affiliates of the two companies have entered into an agreement to jointly develop a futures contract for the physical delivery of crude oil in the Houston area.
