According to GlobalData, India is expected to contribute about 30% of the total refinery hydrotreater capacity additions in Asia between 2021 to 2025, the second highest in the region after China.

Chevron Lummus Global LLC (CLG) has been awarded a contract by Indian Oil Corp. Ltd.'s Gujarat refinery for a new 270 000 tpy catalytic dewaxing unit and hydrocracker revamp as part of IOCL's Petrochemical and Lube Integration Project (Lupech) in Gujarat, India.
